Spots in Negros Where You Can Experience the Sea Of Clouds

Mt. Pulag and Sagada has attracted thousands of tourists because of their stunning sea of clouds. But do you know that you can also experience this phenomenon in Negros? There are actually two spots in the region that offer a view of sea of clouds.

1. Jomax Peak in Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental

Jomax Peak was originally a rest house owned by Ortiz Family. But recently, they decided to open it to the public. They have a hanging deck where you can relax with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view of Malatan-Og Falls and the sea of clouds in the morning. The best thing about Jomax Peak is, you can exclusively rent the place for a day and there will be no other guests. And yes, they also have a pool.

Since Jomax Peak is getting a lot of attention, the management announced that the place is fully booked until December 31, 2016. Reservations for the next year is not yet open as they are still renovating the area to serve you better.

2. Mount Kanlaon in Canlaon City, Negros Oriental

Mount Kanlaon is the highest mountain in the region, standing at 2,465m. It is the third most active volcano in the country and part of Pacific Ring of Fire. It would usually take three days to reach the peak but that may also depend on the trail. It is famous for its picturestique view of crater and of course, the sea of clouds!

Last June, Mt. Kanlaon erupted and PHILVOLCS issued alert No. 1. The mountain is currently close, but we will let you know once it is open again.
