An Hour Road Trip in Don Salvador Benedicto will Lead You to Breathtaking Jomax Peak
Don Salvador Benedicto is a home to lush green forests, beautiful mountains, spring resorts and spectacular falls, making it a perfect destination for those who want to relax and breathe some fresh air. And if you want to experience sea of clouds, you should visit the breathtaking Jomax Peak.
This place which used to be the rest house of Mayor Jomax Ortiz is now open to the public. Jomax Peak just opened last month and it is now listed as one of the top destinations in Negros Occidental. It's definitely the best Instgrammable spot in Don Salvador Benedicto.
Jomax Peak has a hanging view deck where you can see the sea of clouds all day especially during cooler days. From there, you can also see the best view of spectacular Malatan-og Falls. There is also a swimming pool in the resort, but be ready to dip yourself in the ice-cold water.
Jomax Peak is approximately an hour away or less from Bacolod City if you are coming with a private car. The best thing about it is, you can exclusively rent the place and there will be no other guests during your stay.
Unfortunately, Jomax Peak is fully booked until December 31, 2016 and reservation for the next year is not yet open since they are still developing the resort to serve you better.
For only 150.00 per person minimum of five guests, you can have the place to yourself. However, the management announced that the rate is only temporary. Next year, guests can choose if they want to rent the whole place or certain areas with other groups. Jomax Peak has yet to revise the rates for the following year.
We will update this post once the management has already released their new rates. For now, just take a look at the photos below.
How to get there:
The complete address of Jomax Peak is Brgy. Kumaliskis, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental. From Bacolod City, it is approximately 100 meters after 48km post and 200 meters before Malatan-og falls. It is located at the left side of national highway.
You may also ride a bus from the Ceres Southbound Terminal in Bacolod City. Just tell the driver to drop you at Brgy. Kumaliskis rest house of Attorney Ortiz. The bus fare is between 60 to 100.
