Explore the Beauty of Sipaway Island in San Carlos City
Sipaway Island in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental is one of the few islands in the Negros Island Region that boasts stunning white sand beaches and diving spots. It's geographically known as Refugio and accessible via a 15-minute boat ride from the mainland.
Most of the resorts aren't fully much developed in the island which makes the experience more memorable. There are no bars and loud parties so you get to enjoy the simple and relaxing life in the island.
Sipaway Island is only seven kilometers from tip to tip so it's impossible to explore the whole island in just one day. There are tricycles around that you can rent to circle the island. You can rent them for as low as 200.00 for half-day tour. There are no standard prices, so that may depend on your haggling skills.
The electricity runs only at certain hours at night, depending on the resort where are you staying at. Water is also limited that's why you are advised to use only what you need.
The white sand beaches are not comparable to Boracay, but they are clean and not crowded. There are days when you can have the beach to yourself. If you want to be away from the stressful life in the city, Sipaway is the best choice.
Sipaway island is also famous for its century-old balete tree, one of the must-see attractions in the island.

La Basilia White Beach Resort
